When I arrived at Matanzas Pass Preserve I was very excited because it looked beautiful. I have only ever seen mangroves in photos, so it was interesting to see it in person. I walked along the trails. While I was on the trails I was able to see various parts of the estuary; it was amazing. Before I went on the field trip I wrote out my objectives. Therefore, I was able to understand more about the estuary and preserve. I had no idea what an estuary was before I went to the preserve. While I walked along the boardwalk I was able to see some snook and oysters. I was also able to see some barnacles, which were interesting looking. I would definitely go back to Matanzas Pass Preserve for fun.
